95602a759d Add trivial cast lints.
This permits all coercions to be performed in casts, but adds lints to warn in those cases.

Part of this patch moves cast checking to a later stage of type checking. We acquire obligations to check casts as part of type checking where we previously checked them. Once we have type checked a function or module, then we check any cast obligations which have been acquired. That means we have more type information available to check casts (this was crucial to making coercions work properly in place of some casts), but it means that casts cannot feed input into type inference.

[breaking change]

* Adds two new lints for trivial casts and trivial numeric casts, these are warn by default, but can cause errors if you build with warnings as errors. Previously, trivial numeric casts and casts to trait objects were allowed.
* The unused casts lint has gone.
* Interactions between casting and type inference have changed in subtle ways. Two ways this might manifest are:
- You may need to 'direct' casts more with extra type information, for example, in some cases where `foo as _ as T` succeeded, you may now need to specify the type for `_`
- Casts do not influence inference of integer types. E.g., the following used to type check:

```
let x = 42;
let y = &x as *const u32;
```

Because the cast would inform inference that `x` must have type `u32`. This no longer applies and the compiler will fallback to `i32` for `x` and thus there will be a type error in the cast. The solution is to add more type information:

```
let x: u32 = 42;
let y = &x as *const u32;
```

70ed3a48df std: Add a new env module
This is an implementation of [RFC 578][rfc] which adds a new `std::env` module
to replace most of the functionality in the current `std::os` module. More
details can be found in the RFC itself, but as a summary the following methods
have all been deprecated:

[rfc]: https://github.com/rust-lang/rfcs/pull/578

* `os::args_as_bytes`   => `env::args`
* `os::args`            => `env::args`
* `os::consts`          => `env::consts`
* `os::dll_filename`    => no replacement, use `env::consts` directly
* `os::page_size`       => `env::page_size`
* `os::make_absolute`   => use `env::current_dir` + `join` instead
* `os::getcwd`          => `env::current_dir`
* `os::change_dir`      => `env::set_current_dir`
* `os::homedir`         => `env::home_dir`
* `os::tmpdir`          => `env::temp_dir`
* `os::join_paths`      => `env::join_paths`
* `os::split_paths`     => `env::split_paths`
* `os::self_exe_name`   => `env::current_exe`
* `os::self_exe_path`   => use `env::current_exe` + `pop`
* `os::set_exit_status` => `env::set_exit_status`
* `os::get_exit_status` => `env::get_exit_status`
* `os::env`             => `env::vars`
* `os::env_as_bytes`    => `env::vars`
* `os::getenv`          => `env::var` or `env::var_string`
* `os::getenv_as_bytes` => `env::var`
* `os::setenv`          => `env::set_var`
* `os::unsetenv`        => `env::remove_var`

Many function signatures have also been tweaked for various purposes, but the
main changes were:

* `Vec`-returning APIs now all return iterators instead
* All APIs are now centered around `OsString` instead of `Vec<u8>` or `String`.
  There is currently on convenience API, `env::var_string`, which can be used to
  get the value of an environment variable as a unicode `String`.

All old APIs are `#[deprecated]` in-place and will remain for some time to allow
for migrations. The semantics of the APIs have been tweaked slightly with regard
to dealing with invalid unicode (panic instead of replacement).

The new `std::env` module is all contained within the `env` feature, so crates
must add the following to access the new APIs:

    #![feature(env)]

3dcd215740 Switch to purely namespaced enums
This breaks code that referred to variant names in the same namespace as
their enum. Reexport the variants in the old location or alter code to
refer to the new locations:

```
pub enum Foo {
    A,
    B
}
fn main() {
    let a = A;
}
```
=>
```
pub use self::Foo::{A, B};
pub enum Foo {
    A,
    B
}
fn main() {
    let a = A;
}
```
or
```
pub enum Foo {
    A,
    B
}
fn main() {
    let a = Foo::A;
}
```

a5bb0a3a45 librustc: Remove the fallback to int for integers and f64 for
floating point numbers for real.

This will break code that looks like:

    let mut x = 0;
    while ... {
        x += 1;
    }
    println!("{}", x);

Change that code to:

    let mut x = 0i;
    while ... {
        x += 1;
    }
    println!("{}", x);

Closes #15201.

abfde39b0e borrowck: classify expressions as assignees, uses or both
- Repurposes `MoveData.assignee_ids` to mean only `=` but not `+=`, so

- Removes two `span_err` in liveness analysis, which are now borrowck's
  responsibilities.

9cc26cfdf4 test: Clean out the test suite a bit
This updates a number of ignore-test tests, and removes a few completely
outdated tests due to the feature being tested no longer being supported.

This brings a number of bench/shootout tests up to date so they're compiling
again. I make no claims to the performance of these benchmarks, it's just nice
to not have bitrotted code.

This is preparation for removing `@fn`.

This also changes the precedence of `as`.

a380df809c Fix subtle error in caching during kind computation that could cause linear
values to be copied. Rewrite kind computation so that instead of directly
computing the kind it computes what kinds of values are present in the type,
and then derive kinds based on that. I find this easier to think about.

e16dbb7888 Demode some code using by-mutbl-ref; warn about by-mutbl-ref
The parser now warns about use of mutbl-ref mode, though it's kind
of a lie since this commit doesn't remove support for the mode.

Changed move_val_init to have stage0 and stage1/2 versions, the latter of
which is demoded.

Changed the type that the typechecker expects the move_val_init
intrinsic to have. After this is pushed, I can make a new snapshot,
which will remove the need for the stage0 versions.
