d7d7045374 rustc: Allow #[no_mangle] anywhere in a crate
This commit updates the compiler to allow the `#[no_mangle]` (and
`#[export_name]` attributes) to be located anywhere within a crate.
These attributes are unconditionally processed, causing the compiler to
always generate an exported symbol with the appropriate name.

After some discussion on #54135 it was found that not a great reason
this hasn't been allowed already, and it seems to match the behavior
that many expect! Previously the compiler would only export a
`#[no_mangle]` symbol if it were *publicly reachable*, meaning that it
itself is `pub` and it's otherwise publicly reachable from the root of
the crate. This new definition is that `#[no_mangle]` *is always
reachable*, no matter where it is in a crate or whether it has `pub` or
not.

This should make it much easier to declare an exported symbol with a
known and unique name, even when it's an internal implementation detail
of the crate itself. Note that these symbols will persist beyond LTO as
well, always making their way to the linker.

Along the way this commit removes the `private_no_mangle_functions` lint
(also for statics) as there's no longer any need to lint these
situations. Furthermore a good number of tests were updated now that
symbol visibility has been changed.

rustc: keep a Span for each predicate in ty::GenericPredicates.

This should allow finer-grained diagnostics, including migration suggestions for #54090.
(Note that I haven't changed most of the users of `predicates_of` to use the new spans)

032d97fa01 in which inferable outlives-requirements are linted
RFC 2093 (tracking issue #44493) lets us leave off
commonsensically inferable `T: 'a` outlives requirements. (A separate
feature-gate was split off for the case of 'static lifetimes, for
which questions still remain.) Detecting these was requested as an
idioms-2018 lint.

It turns out that issuing a correct, autofixable suggestion here is
somewhat subtle in the presence of other bounds and generic
parameters. Basically, we want to handle these three cases:

 • One outlives-bound. We want to drop the bound altogether, including
   the colon—

   MyStruct<'a, T: 'a>
                 ^^^^ help: remove this bound

 • An outlives bound first, followed by a trait bound. We want to
delete the outlives bound and the following plus sign (and
hopefully get the whitespace right, too)—

   MyStruct<'a, T: 'a + MyTrait>
                   ^^^^^ help: remove this bound

 • An outlives bound after a trait bound. We want to delete the
outlives lifetime and the preceding plus sign—

   MyStruct<'a, T: MyTrait + 'a>
                          ^^^^^ help: remove this bound

This gets (slightly) even more complicated in the case of where
clauses, where we want to drop the where clause altogether if there's
just the one bound. Hopefully the comments are enough to explain
what's going on!

A script (in Python, sorry) was used to generate the
hopefully-sufficiently-exhaustive UI test input. Some of these are
split off into a different file because rust-lang-nursery/rustfix#141
(and, causally upstream of that, #53934) prevents them from being
`run-rustfix`-tested.

We also make sure to include a UI test of a case (copied from RFC
2093) where the outlives-bound can't be inferred. Special thanks to
Niko Matsakis for pointing out the `inferred_outlives_of` query,
rather than blindly stripping outlives requirements as if we weren't a
production compiler and didn't care.

This concerns #52042.

librustc_lint: In recursion warning, change 'recurring' to 'recursing'

The existing wording seems incorrect.

Aside: This warning, 'function cannot return without recursing' is not perfectly clear - it implies that the function _can_ return, it's just got to recurse. But really the fn cannot return period. Clearer wording: 'function recurses infinitely; it cannot return'; or 'function is infinitely self-recursive; it cannot return, and this is probably an error'. I like that.

003cab25d7 Generalize async_idents to all new keywords
This commit generalizes the existing `async_idents` lint to easily encompass
other identifiers that will be keywords in future editions. The new lint is
called `keyword_idents` and the old `async_idents` lint is registered as renamed
to this new lint.

As a proof of concept the `try` keyword was added to this list as it looks to be
listed as a keyword in the 2018 edition only. The `await` keyword was not added
as it's not listed as a keyword yet.

Miri engine cleanup

* Unify the two maps in memory to store the allocation and its kind together.
* Share the handling of statics between CTFE and miri: The miri engine always
uses "lazy" `AllocType::Static` when encountering a static. Acessing that
static invokes CTFE (no matter the machine). The machine only has any
influence when writing to a static, which CTFE outright rejects (but miri
      makes a copy-on-write).
* Add an `AllocId` to by-ref consts so miri can use them as operands without
      making copies.
* Move responsibilities around for the `eval_fn_call` machine hook: The hook
just has to find the MIR (or entirely take care of everything); pushing the
new stack frame is taken care of by the miri engine.
* Expose the intrinsics and lang items implemented by CTFE so miri does not
      have to reimplement them.
* Allow Machine to hook into foreign statics (used by miri to get rid of some other hacks).
* Clean up function calling.
* Switch const sanity check to work on operands, not mplaces.
* Move const_eval out of rustc_mir::interpret, to make sure that it does not access private implementation details.

In particular, we can finally make `eval_operand` take `&self`. :-)

Should be merged after https://github.com/rust-lang/rust/pull/53609, across which I will rebase.

ad2de8b4ee miri/CTFE refactor
* Value gets renamed to Operand, so that now interpret::{Place, Operand} are the
  "dynamic" versions of mir::{Place, Operand}.
* Operand and Place share the data for their "stuff is in memory"-base in a new
type, MemPlace. This also makes it possible to give some more precise types
in other areas. Both Operand and MemPlace have methods available to project
into fields (and other kinds of projections) without causing further
  allocations.
* The type for "a Scalar or a ScalarPair" is called Value, and again used to
  give some more precise types.
* All of these have versions with an attached layout, so that we can more often
drag the layout along instead of recomputing it. This lets us get rid of
`PlaceExtra::Downcast`. MPlaceTy and PlaceTy can only be constructed
in place.rs, making sure the layout is handled properly.
(The same should eventually be done for ValTy and OpTy.)
* All the high-level functions to write typed memory take a Place, and live in
place.rs. All the high-level typed functions to read typed memory take an
  Operand, and live in operands.rs.

App-lint-cability

@eminence recently pointed out (rust-lang/cargo#5846) that it's
surprising that `cargo fix` (now shipping with Cargo itself!) doesn't
fix very common lint warnings, which is as good of a reminder as any
that we should finish #50723.

(Previously, we did this on the librustc and libsyntax crates in #50724. I filed cmr/this-week-in-rust#685 in hopes of recruiting new contributors to do the rest.)
