3c43a60d06 Stabilize const_option
This makes the following API stable in const contexts:

    impl<T> Option<T> {
        pub const fn as_mut(&mut self) -> Option<&mut T>;
        pub const fn expect(self, msg: &str) -> T;
        pub const fn unwrap(self) -> T;
        pub const unsafe fn unwrap_unchecked(self) -> T;
        pub const fn take(&mut self) -> Option<T>;
        pub const fn replace(&mut self, value: T) -> Option<T>;
    }

    impl<T> Option<&T> {
        pub const fn copied(self) -> Option<T>
        where T: Copy;
    }

    impl<T> Option<&mut T> {
        pub const fn copied(self) -> Option<T>
        where T: Copy;
    }

    impl<T, E> Option<Result<T, E>> {
        pub const fn transpose(self) -> Result<Option<T>, E>
    }

    impl<T> Option<Option<T>> {
        pub const fn flatten(self) -> Option<T>;
    }

The following functions make use of the unstable
`const_precise_live_drops` feature:

- `expect`
- `unwrap`
- `unwrap_unchecked`
- `transpose`
- `flatten`

f5cc292830 Auto merge of #131045 - compiler-errors:remove-unnamed_fields, r=wesleywiser
Retire the `unnamed_fields` feature for now

`#![feature(unnamed_fields)]` was implemented in part in #115131 and #115367, however work on that feature has (afaict) stalled and in the mean time there have been some concerns raised (e.g.[^1][^2]) about whether `unnamed_fields` is worthwhile to have in the language, especially in its current desugaring. Because it represents a compiler implementation burden including a new kind of anonymous ADT and additional complication to field selection, and is quite prone to bugs today, I'm choosing to remove the feature.

However, since I'm not one to really write a bunch of words, I'm specifically *not* going to de-RFC this feature. This PR essentially *rolls back* the state of this feature to "RFC accepted but not yet implemented"; however if anyone wants to formally unapprove the RFC from the t-lang side, then please be my guest. I'm just not totally willing to summarize the various language-facing reasons for why this feature is or is not worthwhile, since I'm coming from the compiler side mostly.

Don't warn on proc macro generated code in `needless_return`

Fixes #13458
Fixes #13457
Fixes #13467
Fixes #13479
Fixes #13481
Fixes #13526
Fixes #13486

The fix is unfortunately a little more convoluted than just simply adding a `is_from_proc_macro`. That check *does* fix the issue, however it also introduces a bunch of false negatives in the tests, specifically when the returned expression is in a different syntax context, e.g. `return format!(..)`.

The proc macro check builds up a start and end pattern based on the HIR nodes and compares it to a snippet of the span, however that would currently fail for `return format!(..)` because we would have the patterns `("return", <something inside of the format macro>)`, which doesn't compare equal. So we now return an empty string pattern for when it's in a different syntax context.

"Hide whitespace" helps a bit for reviewing the proc macro detection change

Add a Lint for Pointer to Integer Transmutes in Consts

Fixes #87525

This PR adds a MirLint for pointer to integer transmutes in const functions and associated consts. The implementation closely follows this comment: https://github.com/rust-lang/rust/pull/85769#issuecomment-880969112. More details about the implementation can be found in the comments.

Note: This could break some sound code as mentioned by RalfJung in https://github.com/rust-lang/rust/pull/85769#issuecomment-886491680:

> ... technically const-code could transmute/cast an int to a ptr and then transmute it back and that would be correct -- so the lint will deny some sound code. Does not seem terribly likely though.

Apply "polymorphization at home" to RawVec

The idea here is to move all the logic in RawVec into functions with explicit size and alignment parameters. This should eliminate all the fussing about how tweaking RawVec code produces large swings in compile times.

This uncovered https://github.com/rust-lang/rust-clippy/issues/12979, so I've modified the relevant test in a way that tries to preserve the spirit of the test without tripping the ICE.

eb2fc42ef9 Rollup merge of #124941 - Skgland:stabilize-const-int-from-str, r=dtolnay
Stabilize const `{integer}::from_str_radix` i.e. `const_int_from_str`

This PR stabilizes the feature `const_int_from_str`.

- ACP Issue: rust-lang/libs-team#74
- Implementation PR: rust-lang/rust#99322
- Part of Tracking Issue: rust-lang/rust#59133

API Change Diff:

```diff
impl {integer} {
- pub       fn from_str_radix(src: &str, radix: u32) -> Result<Self, ParseIntError>;
+ pub const fn from_str_radix(src: &str, radix: u32) -> Result<Self, ParseIntError>;
}
impl ParseIntError {
- pub       fn kind(&self) -> &IntErrorKind;
+ pub const fn kind(&self) -> &IntErrorKind;
}
```
This makes it easier to parse integers at compile-time, e.g.
the example from the Tracking Issue:

```rust
env!("SOMETHING").parse::<usize>().unwrap()
```

could now be achived  with

```rust
match usize::from_str_radix(env!("SOMETHING"), 10) {
  Ok(val) => val,
  Err(err) => panic!("Invalid value for SOMETHING environment variable."),
}
```

rather than having to depend on a library that implements or manually implement the parsing at compile-time.

Checklist based on [Libs Stabilization Guide - When there's const involved](https://std-dev-guide.rust-lang.org/development/stabilization.html#when-theres-const-involved)

I am treating this as a [partial stabilization](https://std-dev-guide.rust-lang.org/development/stabilization.html#partial-stabilizations) as it shares a tracking issue (and is rather small), so directly opening the partial stabilization PR for the subset (feature `const_int_from_str`) being stabilized.

Implement lint against ambiguous negative literals

This PR implements a lint against ambiguous negative literals with a literal and method calls right after it.

## `ambiguous_negative_literals`

(deny-by-default)

The `ambiguous_negative_literals` lint checks for cases that are confusing between a negative literal and a negation that's not part of the literal.

### Example

```rust,compile_fail
-1i32.abs(); // equals -1, while `(-1i32).abs()` equals 1
```

### Explanation

Method calls take precedence over unary precedence. Setting the precedence explicitly makes the code clearer and avoid potential bugs.

<details>
<summary>Old proposed lint</summary>

## `ambiguous_unary_precedence`

(deny-by-default)

The `ambiguous_unary_precedence` lint checks for use the negative unary operator with a literal and method calls.

### Example

```rust
-1i32.abs(); // equals -1, while `(-1i32).abs()` equals 1
```

### Explanation

Unary operations take precedence on binary operations and method calls take precedence over unary precedence. Setting the precedence explicitly makes the code clearer and avoid potential bugs.

</details>

-----

Note: This is a strip down version of https://github.com/rust-lang/rust/pull/117161, without the binary op precedence.

f2c1265483 Add ConstArgKind::Path and make ConstArg its own HIR node
This is a very large commit since a lot needs to be changed in order to
make the tests pass. The salient changes are:

- `ConstArgKind` gets a new `Path` variant, and all const params are now
  represented using it. Non-param paths still use `ConstArgKind::Anon`
  to prevent this change from getting too large, but they will soon use
  the `Path` variant too.

- `ConstArg` gets a distinct `hir_id` field and its own variant in
  `hir::Node`. This affected many parts of the compiler that expected
  the parent of an `AnonConst` to be the containing context (e.g., an
  array repeat expression). They have been changed to check the
  "grandparent" where necessary.

- Some `ast::AnonConst`s now have their `DefId`s created in
  rustc_ast_lowering rather than `DefCollector`. This is because in some
  cases they will end up becoming a `ConstArgKind::Path` instead, which
  has no `DefId`. We have to solve this in a hacky way where we guess
  whether the `AnonConst` could end up as a path const since we can't
  know for sure until after name resolution (`N` could refer to a free
  const or a nullary struct). If it has no chance as being a const
  param, then we create a `DefId` in `DefCollector` -- otherwise we
  decide during ast_lowering. This will have to be updated once all path
  consts use `ConstArgKind::Path`.

- We explicitly use `ConstArgHasType` for array lengths, rather than
  implicitly relying on anon const type feeding -- this is due to the
  addition of `ConstArgKind::Path`.

- Some tests have their outputs changed, but the changes are for the
  most part minor (including removing duplicate or almost-duplicate
  errors). One test now ICEs, but it is for an incomplete, unstable
  feature and is now tracked at #127009.
