This changes the indexing syntax from .() to [], the vector syntax from ~[] to
[] and the extension syntax from #fmt() to #fmt[]

Copy locals created by destructuring on the content of a box
...
This is required so that assigning to these locals doesn't clobber
the content of the box.
(A possible optimization would be to only do this copying for
locals that actually are assigned to.)
